Traveling Abroad
As an internationally recognized provider, American Care Air Ambulance has been providing services for American tourists traveling abroad for 15 years. Our airplanes are fully equipped for any medical emergency including Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support transports.
With our home base located in San Diego, California we are capable of providing immediate air ambulance service for any Mexico transports. Our friendly and experienced flight coordinators are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and will fully assist through the process of setting up a transport. We will also coordinate the ground ambulance transportation from the hospital in Mexico to the airport where our aircraft will be ready and waiting to load the patient. Upon landing in the United States, another ground ambulance will be awaiting the arrival of the aircraft and our medical team will escort the patient to their bedside at the receiving hospital. In most circumstances patients may be accompanied by family members at no extra cost.

For a smooth and successful transport, be sure to have prepared the following:
Identification: patient's name, date of birth, address in the United States, social security and passport number if possible.
Insurance information: before traveling out of the country, it is best to check in and make sure with your insurance provider that you will be provided for in the case of an emergency while traveling.
If they do not provide coverage, you can purchase travel insurance in expensively for the entire trip and have the peace of mind that, in case of an emergency, you will be provided for. (American Care Air Ambulance does also accept checks, credit cards, and wire transfers as forms of payment in the event that someone needing service is not covered.)
