Air Ambulance Supplement 2008

Eurami spreads its wings

"November 2007, while the first air

ambulance provider in the United States was

American Care Air Ambulance, which gained

formal accreditation in February this year.

Dr Michael Braida, board member and

the man responsible for accreditations in

the Americas, was the auditor for both

North American air ambulance providers.

According to him, it was no problem to

use the EURAMI accreditation standards

on a continent with different regulations."

Press release

Successful accreditation of American Care Air Ambulance /

San Diego / USA

EURAMI (European Aeromedical Institute; www.eurami.org) proudly announces a new accreditation “special care” for air rescue providers. After a thorough audit of American Care Air Ambulance (www.americancareairambulance.com )

04 – 5 December 2007 and the review of the board, EURAMI unanimously approved the accreditation. Several international air rescue providers have started the accreditation process, and further well known international air rescue providers have shown their interest in a EURAMI accreditation. EURAMI does expect a remarkable increase of audits in 2008.
